Originally posted to TelecomNewsroom. TelecomNewsroom editors recently engaged with Joshua Broder, CEO of Tilson, a company that provides network deployment and professional services to telecom, construction, utility and government clients. What’s most impressive about Mr. Broder is his dedication to the company. Under Broder’s leadership, Tilson grew from less than 10 employees to over 360, earning a top spot on the Inc. 5000 list for the past seven consecutive years. In advance of Broder’s appearance at the Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association’s (NEDAS) upcoming New York City Summit on September 6, 2018 we discussed the future of the industry. With deep industry experience, it was appropriate for us to dig deep in to Broder’s outlook on the industry, technologies and solutions and of course what makes Tilson stand-out so effectively.
TelecomNewsroom (TNR) Q1: What do you predict will be the long-term impact of emerging technologies and trends implemented in the coming 12 months?
Joshua ‘Josh’ Broder (JB) A1: 5G is going to change everything because capacity matters! Mobility users are going to have much higher expectations for connectivity after getting a taste of the additional capacity coming with CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service)[1], LAA (Licensed Assisted Access)[2], and 5G technologies. As an industry, network professionals have to work fast to deploy in order to avoid dramatic differences in “have and have not” coverage areas.
