Although buzzwords like the cloud, the Internet of Things, 5G and Artificial Intelligence are stirring up plenty of conversation and evolution in the technology and telecommunications realm, the one consistent foundation of this digital world is the data center. As the hub and heart of the global data ecosystem, data centers play an inarguably vital part in the support of technologies and enterprises. As a result, however, the data center sphere is characterized by high levels of competition. While the industry is currently dominated by large entities and REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), smaller data centers are finding it harder and harder to compete for market share and consumer attention.
To support smaller operators and facilitate a more equal opportunity environment, The Independent Data Center Alliance (IND-DCA), a consortium of independent data center and carrier hotel operators engaged in joint go-to-market initiatives, is offering a webinar. The presentation, titled “The Rise of the Independent Data Center,” will take place on Thursday, October 24 at 12:00 PM ET. Attendees can expect to learn more about the growing importance of the data center, the challenges that disparate data centers are experiencing in the market and solutions for overcoming these roadblocks.
