Today, just about every data center provider touts security as a main selling point. But while it’s easy to say that your storage and computing systems are secure, proving it can be much more difficult. For this reason, businesses are strongly encouraged to partner with data center providers whose systems are as secure as they claim to be.
One data center provider that walks the walk is 1547 Datacenters (1547), the retail colocation division of 1547 Critical Systems Realty, which recently announced that it is both Service Organization Control (SOC) 2, Type 1 and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 3.1 compliant.
The location recently underwent rigorous audits to provide customers with the assurance that their services meet the strongest level of availability standards. 1547 Datacenters hired Weaver, the largest independent accounting firm in the Southwest, to perform an independent examination and testing of control activities at the 1547 Orangeburg, New York facility.
