The world’s leading carrier and data center neutral internet exchange (IX) operator, DE-CIX, was recognized by the Best of Manhattan Awards for its DE-CIX New York Internet exchange, serving the NY and NJ metro markets. It was DE-CIX “ability to use various marketing methods to grow their business in spite of difficult economic times” which drove the selection.

Each year the Manhattan Award Program honors the best local businesses throughout the Manhattan area for achievements and accomplishments. Only one winner is selected per category. The program works with local business owners, professional associations, and marketing groups who positively contribute to the US Economy.

A key mark for DE-CIX New York’s recognition was the company’s North American Virtual Summit, a virtual, video-based program hosted in December 2020. This helped showcase new partnerships and enhanced services and reach of the company’s North American IX, serving as a foundational announcement of two additoinal new multi-service IX locations in the US – Chicago and Richmond. Stephan Rohloffm CMO of DE-CIX, states “we are honored to be recognized for the ability to adapt during difficult times, as we focused on celebrating our partner and community successes to bring the industry together, virtually. ”

DE-CIX has a variety of multi-service interconnection platform capabilities including peering (GlobePEER), cloud connectivity (DirectCLOUD), and improved access for Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS) – one-hop access to Microsoft business services for enterprises including 365. DE-CIX, largest global carrier neutral data center and carrier ecosystem spans across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Follow @DECIX.
