Explosive growth in stored data volumes is putting intense pressure on IT budgets. The challenge now will be figuring out how to store all this data. A new white paper from Cloudian, sponsored by the Evaluator Group, offers a review and economic evaluation of Cloudian Hyperstore as compared to the traditional purpose-built backup appliance (PBBA).
Storage administrators’ jobs are getting even bigger, and protecting their enterprises’ data is becoming more difficult. In this environment, many are turning to object-based storage systems, such as Cloudian Hyperstore.
According to the report, vendors are positioning these types of storage systems as “on-premises targets for backups.”
