As demand for AI, cloud, and hyperscale infrastructure accelerates across Europe, Nostrum Data Centers is advancing a new generation of sustainable, high-performance data center assets in Spain, with availability beginning in 2027.

The Spain-based developer is delivering more than 500 MW of IT capacity, supported by secured land and power, enabling customers to move quickly from planning to deployment. With 300 MW of power already secured and scalable to 500 MW, Nostrum is addressing Europe’s growing need for resilient, efficient digital infrastructure.

Earlier this month, Nostrum Data Centers, part of Nostrum Group, recently announced that AECOM will design and manage its $2.1 billion data center campus in Badajoz, one of six strategically located developments across the country. These sites leverage Spain’s strong subsea connectivity, competitive energy costs, and robust power availability to support scalable growth.

“Our Spain-based data centers combine strategic site selection, secured power connections, and AI-ready infrastructure to meet the demands of the next-generation digital economy,” said Gabriel Nebreda, Chief Executive Officer at Nostrum Group. “Our team of industry leaders with over 25 years of experience are developing facilities that are not only highly efficient and scalable but also fully sustainable, supporting both our customers’ growth and global climate goals.”

Engineered for high-density AI and cloud workloads, Nostrum’s facilities are designed to achieve a PUE of 1.1 and a WUE of zero, eliminating water usage for cooling. Collectively, the developments are expected to prevent 10 million metric tonnes of CO2 emissions, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Nostrum’s 2027 delivery timeline reinforces its commitment to providing efficient, future-ready infrastructure across Spain for AI, cloud, and hyperscale customers.
