From the founder of the Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association, a new event series to tackle the changing landscape of in-building wireless for commercial real estate executives.

The In-Building Wireless Association (TIWA) is redefining how the real estate and wireless industries connect, collaborate, and innovate. Founded by Ezra Hug—who previously launched the Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association (NEDAS)—TIWA builds on a legacy of fostering dialogue at the intersection of wireline and wireless infrastructure.

Mission and Vision

TIWA’s mission is to serve as a regional, grassroots forum that educates and connects major commercial real estate verticals—such as government, healthcare, hospitality, stadiums/arenas, and data centers—with the wireless industry and converged technologies. The association provides a neutral, professional space for learning, networking, and workforce development, championing the convergence of real estate and wireless as the “Fifth Utility”.

TIWA’s focus bridges commercial real estate development with wireless technology and includes:

The Board of Directors of TIWA

The Board of Directors comprises the organization’s founder, Ezra Hug, who serves as the Executive Director of the organization. He brings more than 25 years of experience in wireless to the association, which he launched in Jan.2025.

TIWA’s Managing Director, Steve Yapsuga, also has more than 25 years of experience in wireless and is the founder of WorkForceG. Yapsuga has extensive experience in DAS, AI, WiFi, Public Safety and other wireless technology capabilities.

Executive Board Members of TIWA include Kishore Raja, Chief Cloud and AI Officer at InfiniG and Ilissa Miller, Founder and CEO of iMiller Public Relations; President of NEDAS host of the Podcast program, NEDAS Live! 

Miller is a digital infrastructure industry executive, advisor and consultant with a globally recognized PR practice. She brings nearly 30 years of digital infrastructure experience focused on communication technology convergence to her role on the Board.

Raja is a 25+ year expert in wireless, AI and ML, and neutral host systems. At InfiniG, Raja and his team have invented shared spectrum neutral hosting, inspired by a challenge set by Meta to provide cellular coverage for their offices. Prior to InfiniG, Raja held senior leadership roles at Boingo Wireless and Federated Wireless where he specialized in Strategy, R&D, Industry Standards, Entrepreneurship, Cloud Native and AI Native strategy.

Events

The inaugural launch event was held on April 24, 2025 in Jersey City, NJ bringing together real estate and wireless professionals for two panel discussions and a networking social. Topics included the shift from carrier-funded to real estate-funded wireless systems, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions for in-building connectivity. The event featured senior leaders from AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, BXP, Vornado, Urban Edge Properties, and more.

Missed it? Don’t worry! The next TIWA event will be in Texas. The TIWA Texas Summit is set for Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 3:00-8:00pm in Plano, Texas. Attendance will be capped at 100, ensuring a balanced mix of stakeholders and industry professionals.
