Hong Kong – October 30, 2018: Chayora Limited, an international infrastructure investor, developer and operator of hyperscale data centre campuses in China, is proud to announce becoming a Capital Sponsor of Infrastructure Masons, Inc. (iMasons) and to have led iMasons first Local Event in the Asia Pacific region. The inaugural networking dinner was held at the Rosewood Hotel in Beijing, China on 13 September, 2018 and was a fantastic event with 24 specially invited guests attending the dinner, introduced by Oliver Jones of Chayora and led by Dean Nelson of iMasons. The guests represented senior leaders from the Chinese datacentre and telecoms industries as well as international end users and the iMasons advisory panel.

There were two topics that stood out in conversation during the evening. First, the talent shortage. This includes the need for new and expanded education efforts to increase the pipeline of talent. Secondly, sharing best practices. This is bi-directional and will help members enhance infrastructure designs and deployments all over the globe. The iMasons community builds and operates the infrastructure for the internet of everything.

Based on current initiatives and announcement, over the next 5-10 years there will potentially be more data centers built in China than the rest of the world combined. Following the event with business leaders, iMasons leaders, together with further support from Chayora, held a great session at Tianjin Vocational Institute with an impressive audience of 500 students. As a result, iMasons is considering expanding the iMasons scholarship program to include the Telecoms and Big Data initiative they have established there.
