Sabey Data Centers Expands Capacity Across Pacific Northwest to Meet Growing Demand

Sabey Data Centers continues to invest in the future of digital infrastructure with its latest announcement: a 30-megawatt capacity expansion across its Seattle and Columbia campuses. Set to come online in late 2025, this strategic growth supports escalating customer demand for scalable, sustainable, and secure data center solutions in two of the Pacific Northwest’s most critical markets.

Expanding in Seattle and Columbia: A Strategic Move

In Seattle, Sabey’s flagship campus will welcome an additional 6 megawatts (MW) of tier-3 type critical power beginning December 1, 2025. Located in the heart of the region’s largest metropolitan area, this campus is powered entirely by carbon-free electricity from Seattle City Light. With direct access to over 20 carriers, it offers rich interconnection opportunities and a highly efficient design, operating with an average annualized Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of approximately 1.5. This expansion reinforces Sabey’s commitment to providing resilient and energy-efficient infrastructure at the center of a vibrant, connected hub.

Meanwhile, at Sabey’s Columbia campus in East Wenatchee, Washington, an additional 5.5MW of tier-3 type critical power will become available starting November 1, 2025. Known for leveraging low-cost, renewable hydropower, this site delivers an exceptional total cost of ownership, with energy rates under $0.05 per kilowatt hour and a best-in-class average PUE of 1.2. The Columbia campus is poised for further growth, with an additional 9MW scheduled to come online at the end of 2026 and another 9MW set for early 2028. This ongoing expansion underscores Sabey’s long-term vision to support emerging workloads and customer needs.

A Commitment to Scalable and Sustainable Infrastructure

“These two expansions reflect our continued investment in delivering sustainable, reliable, and scalable digital infrastructure across key U.S. markets,” said Tim Mirick, President of Sabey Data Centers. “Whether customers are seeking lower total cost of ownership or world-class interconnection, our Columbia and Seattle campuses provide the flexibility and performance today’s enterprises need.”

The Pacific Northwest expansion builds on Sabey’s proven track record of supporting evolving technology demands, including cloud, AI, and enterprise deployments. With facilities engineered for efficiency and operational excellence, Sabey continues to deliver future-ready environments that align with customers’ sustainability and scalability goals.
