Northeast Pennsylvania is home to many smaller-in-size towns and cities which are home to hard working residents and businesses who make waves throughout their state. Until now, many of these residents may have struggled to get the most out of what today’s modern and next-gen Internet has to offer. These more rural locations, including Bloomsburg, Hazleton, and Nanticoke, often lack access to reliable broadband connectivity. In the Fall of 2023, a new fiber optic-backed Internet provider will complete its expansion into these three cities: Empire Access.

Empire Access brings award-winning fiber optic services to business and residential customers alike across large areas of Pennsylvania and New York. Empire Access’ suite of services includes enterprise-class Wi-Fi, dark fiber, phone, streaming, and more, backed by the fastest Internet in the Northeast US, according to PCMag.

Integral to Empire Access’ success and expansion plans is the company’s community-based philosophy. Empire Access’ CEO, Jim Baase, reinforces this idea:

“We believe that each community is critical to what we do, and we take pride in our local support teams. By keeping our customer service and construction at the local level, we stay closely connected to the communities we are a part of.”

Bloomsburg, Hazleton, and Nanticoke are the latest towns in which Empire Access has announced expansions. These follow other Pennsylvania communities such as Scranton, alongside several others in Pennsylvania and New York.
