In anticipation of the upcoming International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2023, Data Center POST sat down with Jane Hsieh, Senior Director of Sales at Aligned Data Centers (“Aligned”). With over 12 years of experience in strategic business development and channel sales leadership, Jane is responsible for driving Aligned’s strategic account development in the enterprise sector.. During the interview, Jane discussed her perspective on the top trends in the wholesale infrastructure industry, Aligned’s commitment to sustainable practices and principles, and what she looks forward to at ITW 2023.

Data Center POST (DCP) Question: International Telecoms Week is one of the industry’s largest and most important events for the year, what type of company do you work for and what are you looking forward to accomplishing at ITW 2023?

Jane Hsieh, Sr. Director of Sales, Aligned (JH) Answer: I work for Aligned Data Centers. We build, design, and operate an adaptive data center platform across the Americas, helping our global customers drive digital transformation and scale at unprecedented speeds. ITW is a global event, and its timing right before summer makes it a great checkpoint to connect and re-align strategies with customers, partners, and prospects. I am looking forward to connecting with other bright minds in the industry.

DCP Q: The first ITW Keynote panel features some of the industry’s largest players sharing their perspectives of the industry. What is the top trend that you and your company has its sights on, and why?

JH A: Our sector is not slowing down. The demand for data centers continues to surge. With our robust supply chain, scalable capacity, patented cooling technology, and experienced team, Aligned is ideally positioned to overcome common industry challenges relating to equipment, flexible design, capital, power, cooling, and land.

DCP Q: As the global wholesale infrastructure industry continues to evolve, what are you experiencing from enterprise users about how they need to be supported (or technologies they need developed?)

JH A: My experience with enterprise customers is that they appreciate strategic guidance on capacity planning and technology differentiators. CIOs and leadership teams often face complex challenges relating to reducing data center costs, while increasing the value their data centers deliver. By focusing on technological innovation, we are able to support them in tackling these obstacles. We address their needs through our adaptive data center design. This includes high-density compute – especially when it comes to new High Performance Computing (HPC) design and Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML)-driven demand – all to set our best foot forward and support customers’ needs both near-term and in the future.

DCP Q: What makes digital infrastructure smart and sustainable and what is your business doing to help bring the industry forward in this fashion?

JH A: Aligned is committed to sustainable practices and principles across every facet of our organization. We carefully choose capital partnerships that align with our values and leverage innovative technology to efficiently cool our infrastructure. We also work with partners who share our commitment to sustainability and implement sustainable practices in our supply chain. Our approach extends to the design, construction, fit-out, and operation of our adaptive data centers, ensuring that we minimize our environmental impact while maximizing efficiency and performance. Aligned Data Centers:

  • Is 100% sustainably financed
