Data Center POST had the opportunity to connect with Walter Cannon, VP of Business Development at ZenFi Networks. In 2013, ZenFi Networks started its journey in New York City with a singular vision: to create an innovative, never-before-seen network to solve the growing infrastructure challenges facing mobile networks. ZenFi Networks achieved its goal with its revolutionary C-RAN-enabling, fronthaul fiber network. With over 30 years of experience in technology sales and executive management, Walter helped progress ZenFi Networks from the local New York City-based company into the global enterprise it is today. In November 2022, BAI Communications acquired ZenFi Networks, adding the company to its portfolio of formidable digital infrastructure companies that include Mobilitie and Transit Wireless

Data Center POST (DCP) Question: What does participating in PTC’23 mean to your company?

Walter Cannon, VP of Business Development (WC) Answer: The PTC conference has always been a great networking event to meet with out-of-market telecommunication companies. It provides opportunities to meet with key decision makers in not just telecom, but also cloud/content companies.

DCP Q: What products/services/locations/other are you excited to share at the PTC’23 conference?

WC A: We are very anticipatory about the possibility for growth as part of the BAI Communications family. The continued expansion of our digital infrastructure affords us the ability to offer more avenues to companies looking for connectivity in the NYC / NJ market. Using our 5G platform, we plan to provide new connectivity solutions for our customer’s ever-growing needs.

DCP Q: As you think about PTC’23, what business goal is most important to you and why?

WC A: We strive to create leading-edge digital infrastructure solutions that provide the market with optionality and better ROI. Under the current economic conditions, maximum capital efficiency is imperative to our customers/prospects. We are excited about what our blended BAI companies can offer.

DCP Q: How can people meet or learn more about you at PTC’23 (or after)?

WC A: We are always evolving our customer-facing methods through streamlining, branding and marketing. We are actively in the news, and you can check us out on social media. In addition to attending PTC’23, I will be speaking at the Digital Infrastructure Partners Platform Session on Monday, January 16th at 3:15pm.

DCP Q: What else would you like for our readers to know that you haven’t already shared about your company?

WC A: The need for an efficient, easily deployable, and shared digital infrastructure has only grown more important in the wake of COVID-19. We will continue to develop innovative solutions for our mobile network customers. I encourage you to follow us on Social Media and speak with us at PTC’23. We are adding new services for everyone (traditional telecom, cloud, content providers, WISP, and others).
