During this lively conversation, McCleave shares insights about her platform’s capabilities, particularly around Artificial Intelligence (AI). As AI continues to emerge as a powerful tool for workforce development, McCleave shares that industry leaders are increasingly turning to AI-driven solutions to address skills gaps and prepare their teams for future challenges. This interview highlights how she’s doing that at Innovorg.
If you’re not already familiar, Innovorg is a workforce optimization platform for the data center and cloud industry. As the founder and CEO, McCleave sees AI as a game-changer. “We are literally at the edge of technological revolution right now with AI integration,” McCleave states. This revolution is reshaping how companies approach employee training, skill assessment, and career pathing.
One of the most significant impacts of AI is in content generation and aggregation. Traditional methods of creating learning materials and curating industry content are time-consuming and often outdated by the time they’re implemented. AI-powered systems can automate this process, producing tailored learning materials and aggregating relevant content from multiple sources in real-time.
“Most of our prospects today, and even new clients, as they were joining Innovorg, used manual processes,” McCleave explains. “We’re literally talking copy and paste right from the internet.” AI eliminates this inefficiency, allowing for personalized learning experiences based on individual employee needs and preferences.
Skills assessment and gap analysis are also being transformed by AI. Automated systems can evaluate employee skills against role requirements more quickly and accurately than traditional methods. This real-time identification of skill gaps and learning opportunities provides data-driven insights for more effective workforce planning.
Looking to the future, AI is poised to play a significant role in coaching and mentorship. McCleave reveals that Innovorg is “really focused on a lot is the coaching and feedback management, development plans with AI.” This could lead to AI-assisted development of personalized coaching plans and real-time feedback based on job requirements and performance data.
However, as AI’s role in workforce development grows, industry leaders must grapple with ethical considerations. Balancing AI-driven insights with human judgment, ensuring fairness in
AI-powered assessments, and maintaining the importance of soft skills and cultural fit are crucial challenges that companies must address.
Despite these challenges, the potential benefits of AI in workforce development are clear. As the digital infrastructure industry continues to evolve, embracing AI-driven solutions could be key to not only addressing current skill gaps but also proactively preparing workforces for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
As McCleave puts it, “We are currently focused a lot on the soft skills aspects… But in addition, there’s also functional skills as well.” This holistic approach, powered by AI, could be the key to building a resilient, adaptable workforce in the rapidly changing digital infrastructure landscape.
