A top international standard for information security in the data center industry is ISO 27001: 2013 certification. Published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), this certification demonstrates a company’s continued commitment to protecting customer data. By becoming ISO 27001:2013-certified, a company can prove that the security of customer data and information has been addressed, implemented and controlled across all levels of the organization.
Just recently, national wholesale data center provider Infomart Data Centers achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). Infomart received accreditation through A-lign, an independent, third-party auditor, following its successful completion of the formal auditing of its IT security policies and procedures.
In becoming ISO 27001:2013-compliant, Infomart confirmed that its security management program is comprehensive and follows leading practices to protect customer data.
