Mark your calendars for Nov. 13-15, and plan to attend the Open-IX Interconnection Summit 2016 and Annual General Meeting. Your host will be the Open-IX Association, a 501 (c)(6) not-for-profit association dedicated to furthering standards for data center Internet exchanges and interconnections.
The three-day event will take place at Hotel Palomar Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with leading Internet industry professionals who are expected to participate in unprecedented numbers this year.
Guests will be a mix of content providers, hardware and software providers, service providers, content delivery network data center operators, and Internet exchange operators. Networking will be actively facilitated and will include one-on-one and small group meetings with industry veterans and thought leaders.
What’s more, participants are invited to attend educational panels, presentations, lunches and cocktail receptions.
As Open-IX Chairman Will Charnock explained following the recent conference announcement, this event will be a “can’t-miss” opportunity.
“Our Interconnection Summit presents a unique opportunity for members of the peering and interconnection ecosystem to have focused discussions on issues facing the industry and affecting the future,” Charnock said. “Open-IX was founded as an open and neutral environment and this annual event is also built upon those principles. We welcome Internet professionals to come together through this forum to shape the landscape of tomorrow’s Internet.”
In case you’re not familiar with the Open-IX Association, its core mission is to promote a simplified distributed and neutral Internet exchange system. It is organized and operated by volunteers from across the Internet landscape.
