Quantum Loophole’s Founder and CEO, Josh Snowhorn, opened NANOG 84 debuting a new video about the company’s first-of-its-kind master-planned data center community. The video highlights the company’s vision, to construct mass-scale data center infrastructure for continued expansion of the Northern Virginia market – just 20 miles north in Frederick County, Maryland.
Providing the key elements of data center development including land, power, water, and network, Quantum Loophole will be able to offer 3,000+ Megawatts of power, while prioritizing and implementing sustainable day-to-day operations. For example, the company will utilize treated gray recycled water to cool facilities instead of drinking water which is traditionally used. The 3.5 square mile property will be connected to the Ashburn data center ecosystem by way of the company’s QLoop, a 43 mile network ring that could handle thousands of fiber pairs.
The project sets out to challenge the traditional site selection process, while bringing true innovation and change to the industry as it looks ahead to the next 10-15 years.
