The event is taking place December 14-15, 2022. Afonso has 15 years in investment banking covering the renewable energy, energy and infrastructure sectors.
On Thursday, December 15, at 1:30 P.M. EST, Afonso will participate in the roundtable “Data Center Sustainability Challenges & Solutions” alongside other industry leaders. This roundtable will address how the industry is focused on employing new technologies and software to help data centers operate in a more environmentally accountable manner. These thought leaders will further discuss how the industry tackles what some consider the most pressing challenge data centers face today.

About Start Campus
Start Campus is responsible for the development of the SINES project, a Hyperscaler Data Centre campus with a capacity of 495MW in Sines, in an investment of up to 3.5 billion euros. It will be one of the largest data center campuses in Europe and meets the growing demand from large international technology companies. It will create up to 1,200 direct highly skilled jobs and 8,000 indirect jobs by 2027.
