Over the last several years, Ireland has emerged as a global hotspot for data hosting due to its strategic location, economic and political stability, abundance of skilled labor and high security and reliability standards.

Helping to further the Irish data hosting industry is Host in Ireland, a strategic initiative focused on increasing awareness of the benefits of hosting digital assets in Ireland and winner of the Datacloud Europe 2016 award for Innovative Data Center Location. Just recently, Host in Ireland announced that Kedington — Ireland’s largest IT network infrastructure solutions company — will be a strategic partner for 2018.

Matt Porter, Managing Director of Kedington, is also joining Host in Ireland’s Executive Committee.

“We are excited to welcome Kedington to our rapidly growing team of Host in Ireland partners,” stated Garry Connolly, Founder and President of Host in Ireland. “I also would like to welcome Mr. Porter to our Executive Committee. His industry expertise will help to further the initiative’s mission of educating the industry on the merits of hosting digital assets in Ireland.”

Since launching in 2014, Host in Ireland has been striving to generate a deeper understanding of Ireland’s value as a premium global hosting location. The Executive Committee plays a vital role in supporting Host in Ireland through business advocacy, collaboration and strategic guidance.

“We’re getting involved with Host in Ireland because we want to help raise international awareness of the benefits of locating data centers in Ireland.  We have successfully executed small, medium and large data center projects for some of the world’s leading companies, and we’re keen to showcase this experience internationally,” explained Matt Porter of Kedington. “By partnering with Host in Ireland, we look forward to meeting new companies who are considering data center deployment in Ireland. We are confident we will see further strong growth and development in this sector.”

Kedington offers both active and passive IT network solutions, data centre design and installation engineering services and structured cabling to organizations of all sizes throughout the public and private sectors. Kedington is led by a team of electronics and data communications professionals, and operates from three offices in the Republic of Ireland and two in Northern Ireland.
