By Contributing Editor Sarah Chamberlain

Robert DeVita is the Founder and Managing Director for Mejeticks, a single source IT consulting and advisory service for all things cloud, connectivity, and data center. Rob has more than 18 years of experience in the technology space, bringing vast experience from AT&T, Cologix, AlohaNAP and beyond, where he garnered insights on leading-edge technologies and applications. With a catalogue of more than 250 suppliers from across the cloud, hosted voice, security, connectivity, and data center industries, Mejeticks serves as a helpful hand, guiding companies through the IT infrastructure decision process.  The company strives to protect businesses against the weaknesses of single sourcing, which can lead to issues such as a lack of innovation, while empowering their customers by providing a competitive edge with best of breed solutions at competitive rates.

Data Center POST recently sat down with Rob to discuss trends in the data center sphere, buyer considerations, and what’s on the horizon for Mejeticks.

Data Center POST, Sarah Chamberlain (DCP-SC) Question: What trends are you seeing in the data center space?

Mejeticks, Robert DeVita (M-RD) Answer: Right now, we are seeing increased interest in service providers deploying at the edge. At Mejeticks, we think the Micro or Edge data center will be the next growth engine for this space.

DCP-SC Q: In your opinion, what is the most important consideration buyers should have when choosing a data center partner, and why?

M-RD A: In one word: flexibility. Virtual workloads are moving to public and private cloud providers,  which means your data center provider needs to have the ability to connect too, supporting you as this transformation continues to take shape.

DCP-SC Q: How does your company adapt to the changing data center space?

M-RD A: We facilitate adaptation by delivering the right solution from the right vendor. With more than 250 suppliers in our portfolio, we can find every customer the ideal provider from a technology, culture, and price perspective.

DCP-SC Q: Tell us about a customer win and the solution you are proud to be providing them?

M-RD A: For a medical staffing firm, Mejeticks was able to develop a total cloud transformation plan, covering compute, disaster recovery, SD-WAN, hosted voice, and security solutions. This effectively enabled the customer to concentrate on their core business.

DCP-SC Q: What new initiatives should our readers be on the lookout for from your company?

M-RD A: We continually search for the best and brightest vendors in the technology space, and right now we are particularly excited to be exploring Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to help drive efficiencies for our customers.

DCP-SC Q: If companies want to work with you, what are the ways to do so?

M-RD A: If you are asking yourself, “How do I get to the cloud?” then we should be your first call, whether that is for compute, storage, or voice. So give us a shout.

DCP-SC Q: Thanks so much for chatting with us, Rob, and congratulations to Mejeticks for being a finalist in the 2019 Channel Partners Excellence in Digital Service Awards!
