Data Center POST Interview with Mike Nguyen, Founder and CEO, Inflect

Mike Nguyen is the Founder and CEO of Inflect, a software company focused on automating the buying and selling of digital infrastructure. Mike and his team are driven by a shared mission to connect buyers and sellers of data center and network services in a way that is simple and intuitive, while putting customers in control of the purchasing experience. Prior to Inflect, Mike had nearly two decades of telecommunications experience, serving as CEO of Silent Partner, a consultancy helping companies find and engage data center and network providers. Mike’s experience helping hyperscale companies procure infrastructure showed him a new approach was necessary.
Data Center POST recently sat down with Mike to discuss Inflect’s new Global Marketplace as well as the company’s upcoming attendance at International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2018, taking place May 6-8 in Chicago.
Data Center POST, Kathy Xu (DCP-KX) Question: What exciting new developments and initiatives can we anticipate for Inflect in 2018?
Inflect, Mike Nguyen (INFLECT-MN) Answer: We recently announced the launch of our Global Marketplace, which is available at no cost to buyers; we earn commission from sellers. Our marketplace helps customers make informed purchasing decisions by providing accurate, up-to-date information regarding the specifications and value of various services and providers. Inflect makes the purchasing of data center and networking services as simple and easy as booking a hotel or airline flight online, accelerating the pace of innovation in the global economy.
DCP-KX Q: How will Inflect’s Global Marketplace impact the industry?
INFLECT-MN A: We’ve built a truly neutral marketplace providing not only the data buyers need, but quickly connecting buyers to the right providers only when they’re ready.
