imgresInfomart Data Centers is expanding its Portland data center at 21515 NW Evergreen Parkway in Hillsboro, adding a total of 16 MW of power capacity to address growing demand for high-density capacity, clean, low-cost power and sustainability.  A substantial portion of the expansion space is already pre-leased by a core anchor tenant; however, Infomart Portland is currently offering new customers 4 MW of available power capacity, with an additional 8 MW becoming available mid-2016.  The move represents one of the largest expansions of new capacity in the market this year according to 451 Research Analyst, Data Centers, Rick Kurtzbein.

Along with the Portland region’s convenience, accessibility, low operating costs, and reliability, the Infomart facility is attractive to customers seeking high-density capabilities up to 30 kW / rack, as well as more efficient and sustainable data centers.  Infomart Portland also offers access to clean power served by Portland General Electric (PGE) and lower than average electrical rates via direct power access.  Furthermore, the data center provides customers with additional savings through its Enterprise Zone status.

Infomart’s data center expansion will be completed in two phases.  Phase 1 is projected to be completed in March of 2016 and will build out 4 MW of existing shell space.  Phase 2 will provide 12 MW of additional power capacity and feature the construction of a new 100,000-square-foot building adjacent to the existing data center.  Phase 2 is projected to be completed mid-summer of 2016.
