Long term RagingWire executive promoted to lead company’s strategic growth plan. Tim Nicols named Vice President of Sales and Business Development to expand wholesale business and open new markets.
RagingWire Data Centers, Inc., the nation’s premier data center provider and an NTT Communications group company, announced today that Douglas S. Adams has been named president of the company effective immediately. In this new role, Mr. Adams will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic growth plan focused on building wholesale data center campuses in top North American data center markets and working with NTT Communications and its affiliates as part of one of the world’s largest data center colocation providers.

Mr. Adams joined RagingWire as part of the early leadership team after successful stints as general manager of the magnetic and optical data storage products division of NEC Technologies, Inc., and in sales, business development, and senior management at Mars, Inc. Prior to being named president, Mr. Adams held multiple executive positions at RagingWire leading sales, marketing, product, and operations, and was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. During his tenure at RagingWire, Mr. Adams was instrumental in growing the company’s customer base and revenue, launching the data center campus in Ashburn, Virginia, establishing the partnership with NTT Communications, and announcing the new data center campus in Dallas, Texas.

In related news, RagingWire announced that Tim Nicols has been named Vice President of Sales and Business Development reporting to Douglas Adams. In this role, Mr. Nicols will be responsible for global sales, channel development, sales engineering and operations, and expanding the go-to-market partnership with NTT Communications and its affiliate companies. Tim is a recognized industry veteran with extensive experience in data centers, telecommunications, and commercial real estate. Most recently, Tim was Vice President Wholesale and Channel Development at RagingWire. In this role, he established RagingWire as a wholesale colocation leader and significantly enhanced relationships with the data center broker community.
